The **value** of 5 is** 5000 or five thousand.**

The **place value** of 9 is **hundreds.**

The **value** of 9 is **900 or nine hundred.**

The **place value** of 3 is **tens.**

The **value** of 3 is **30 or thirty.**

The **place value** of the next 3 is **ones or units.**

The **value** of the 3 is **3.**

**From the table, it can be observed that the place value describes the position of the digit and the value tells us how much the digit is worth.**
