__Objective:__

- At the end of this lesson, students should be able to multiply one digit numbers by one digit numbers.

__VOCABULARIES__

**PRODUCT:** When two or more numbers are multiplied together, the result is called the product. Product means multiplication.

**OFF:** means multiplication.

**TIMES:** means multiplication.

**MULTIPLY:** To multiply is to add a number to itself a given number of times.

Multiplication means times (x). 2 X 3 means 2 times 3.

This also means 2 + 2 + 2 = 6

You can multiply numbers in any order.

2 x 3 = 3 x 2

When you multiply two numbers you get a multiple.

3 x 2 = 6 , 2 x 3 = 6

6 is a multiple of 2 and 3

We can also say that 6 is the product of 2 and 3.

Product simply means, times or multiply.

Students are encouraged to learn their times table very well.

Multiplication means adding the same thing to itself many times. This is **Repeated Addition**.

__Examples__

3 x 3 = 9

2 x 4 = 8

2 x 0 = 0

Remember, any number multiplied by a zero (0)
