At the end of the lesson, students should be able to

  • Use the notation f-1(x) to describe the inverse of a given function.

The inverse of a function is its reverse. The inverse of the function f(x) is written as f-1 (x). When x in the expression, is made the subject, it becomes the inverse of the function.
