Lesson 2 – Comparing Numbers

Objective:

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to understand and know how to form relationships between two numbers.

When we compare numbers it means that we want to make and form a relationship between two numbers. In doing so, we use symbols to compare. These symbols are:

‘>’ means more than/greater than

‘=’ means equal to

‘<’ means less than

Example:

60 < 80          ,           78 > 30          ,           41 = 41

60 is less than 80

78 is greater than 30

41 is equal to 41
