Objective

At the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

• Simplify algebraic fractions.

Algebraic fractions are fractions involving algebra. The rules for fractions involving algebraic terms are the same as those for numeric fractions. However the actual calculations are often easier when using algebra. Algebraic fractions obey the same rules of arithmetic as ordinary fractions.
