Lesson 1 – Sequencing

Objective:

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to understand and find the sequence of numbers.

Number sequencing has to do with number patterns. By finding the difference between two or more numbers, you can find the next numbers in a sequence.

Example: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21

From the numbers above, we can identify the pattern by subtracting any two numbers.

5 – 3 = 2

7 – 5 = 2

13 – 11 = 2

From the results we can say that the pattern is adding on 2.
